The world’s greatest donning occasion “Football World Cup” is now just months away and fans are rushing online to book their seats in Russia. Fortunately, Kaliningrad, one of the urban communities will be facilitating the matches and will be offering digital currency payments for its crypto clients.
Purchasing Business Travel, Russia announced that Apartments Malina will be collaborating with the online payment framework, Free- Kassa, to enable clients to buy rooms with digital currencies.
Apartment Malina’s chief, Anna Subbotina stated:
“Cryptocurrencies are now enjoying increased interest. Gradually they will come into use as a means of payment. And we decided that the fans should be able to pay for our services with the help of this innovative technology. It may very well be that other hotels are awaiting our example for the forthcoming football holiday.”
Others haven’t approached with comparable declaration yet, which is the reason Free-Kassa’s development director, Vitaly Lavrov, called it an interesting experience. He further said, “we did not have to cooperate with hotels in such a format. But the hospitality industry is very sensitive to such trends.”
There is a chance that Saint Petersburg will embrace digital currencies as they have recently collaborated with Free- Kassa.
Russia had been drafting directions for cryptocurrencies and ICOs in the new proposition on digital financial assets a month ago. Changes were requested by Ministry of Economic Development, Ministry of Communications, Ministry of Justice, and Central Bank of Russia to diminish the guidelines for cryptocurrency clients. While this choice was not supported by Ministry of Finance, it submitted a bill, a week ago which records digital currency as a financial asset.
