Malaysia’s Bank Negara Warns Public Against Fake Cryptocurrency Certificate

BNM issued warning against fake cryptocurrency certificate in which official stamps were found.
The certificate says that the holder has been certified as a “Crypto Asset Consultant” and is stamped with the logos of Central Bank of Malaysia and University of Malaya. It looks like a strategy to fool employers and other businesses who seek similar services.
Central Bank of Malaysia earlier said this week “BNM does not recognize these certificate holders who use documentation in offering consultation services. Members of the public are advised to verify the validity of any certification program before registering.”
The bank has even warned the public to verify the authenticity of such documents before any kind of association.
