Monex plans to acquire Coincheck Crypto Exchange For “Billions Of Yen”

As per Nikkei Asian Review reports today, Monex Group, Inc. is a financial services company based in Tokyo, Japan has offered to acquire a majority stake in the cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck in a “billions of yen” deal.
Coincheck exchange has been “ looking for support” from a third-party since the day it was hacked (Jan 26 ) which had resulted in a loss of amount $530 million of NEM coins. Besides, it is also facing various legal actions filed against it by the affected customers, the Nikkei reported.
Monex plans to replace the would-be subsidiary’s ( Coincheck Exchange ) management and plans its come-back by working towards totally restoring its services. The official announcement of the acquisition is expected later this week, says Nikkei.
