Which would you say are the best apps you have developed and why?
Having developed over 350 Android and 200 iOS apps across multiple industries for startups, enterprises and organizations, we’re proud of each of the projects. We’re particularly proud of three of our large and demanding app projects:
Biblezone: It’s an Android app launcher that is preloaded with many other catholic apps in a custom digital tablet.
Dish Out: Similar to the various food sharing apps, Dish Out connects like-minded foodies and let them share their favorite restaurants and food. We’ve received a 5-star rating for our work on Dish Out
Tweetty pad: An amazing extension to Twitter (and other social platforms like Facebook, Tumblr) where users can post their tweets not limiting to the 140-character limit, all from a single, convenient app.
The concept of these three apps is one-of-a-kind and our teams have shown an extraordinary dexterity in developing these project as they demanded a high level of understanding for connecting the audience with the app reality. UI/UX design is outstanding, and the respective clients have been very happy with our work.
All these apps are used and downloaded by hundreds of people on daily basis.

Which apps would you have loved to develop and why?
I’d say we love what we develop and vice versa. It’s not just one or two but every app project that we have developed until is our favorite in some or the other way.
As a particular choice, we’ve had a lot of fun and challenges while developing Story and FollowMyCal. Connecting us with the latest trends, Story is a social media app platform that allows users to make memories and share them moment by moment. The development process called for the next level of ingenuity and rigorous mind boggling from our team, with a lot of live features that engage the audience.
Delighted by our development work, our client has shared a video testimonial for Story https://www.konstantinfo.com/testimonials.php
Also, FollowmyCal is an extremely loved app by users worldwide as it helps them integrate all their personal calendars in a single, seamless calendar manager. The app is natively built for both iOS and Android platforms.
There are around 2 million downloads for both of these apps. Such projects motivate us to the best and drive us towards building the more modern and more creative.

One of the reasons our clients love working with us is our flexible staffing strategy. We can bring in professionals with the skills our individual clients need and maintain a mix of full-time, part-time and hourly hiring, providing them full control over the personnel.
This translates to an advantage over our competitors whose rigid labor structure makes them more vulnerable to economic highs and lows.
Our flexible business engagement model also allows clients to evaluate project professionals and determine their potential, gaining far more insight than just reading a resume or conducting an interview.

What key parameters do you suggest to be considered before selecting the right platform for a mobile application?
See,when we deal with the digital world, especially mobile app development, we are navigating a complex landscape because there are dynamic choices (of people) and a variety of devices and OSes to be covered. Unlike the standard desktop environment, this field asks strongly for a state-of-the-art solution.
Some of the key parameters that developers and app owners should take care before and during the development process are:
Target audience: Both Android and iOS enjoy equally large market across the world. But, if we want a single native app, decide on the type of device based on the popularity in the target demographic markets. It’s important to know the market share of each device before starting.
Technical features: Depending on the performance expectations from the app, one should get knowledge about the mobile app platform and few more technicalities.
Financial gains: The ultimate intention of making money should be fulfilled. Not all apps give you financial rewards. To make money, considering app platforms that enjoy larger user bases is a wiser move.
Which platforms (Native or Hybrid) do you use to build an app? What are your recommendations?
We build it on both platforms- native and hybrid. As per me, due to differences in underlying technology, each approach has inherent advantages and limitations.
Today’s clients are savvy, and come with a prior research of what platform do they choose as they have gained a technical insight before approaching us. We assist them with the best of their choices and interests.
Our experience says that you can provide a most compelling, fluid user experience with the native app. It has the ability to run offline and also leverage device’s hardware like camera, GPS, graphics. A native app typically has to be rebuilt for each native operating system.
Contrarily, hybrid apps function a middle ground between native and web apps. They are developed to look and feel like native, and offer the most functionality and user customization for the users. The Hybrid approach is less expensive and less time consuming.
How do you decide the cost of an application?
With our experience, we have come across a broad classification of apps including
Informative apps: basic ones that can cost you around $10-$15k
Social media apps: that ranges between $20-$25K
On-demand apps: ranging from $30-40K
Enterprise apps: averagely $30-$35K
If we are to simply focus on the cost aspect, it’s actually dependent on basic three parameters 1. Platform 2. Approach and 3. Features. Looking at the trends and our project history, mainly clients come up either for Android or iOS app platforms.
As we talk about the approach, its either native or hybrid. A native app always costs you more than the hybrid.
Lastly, features are the ultimately determining factor because even for the same kind of app, the costs may differ depending on the functionality of the app in question. Some of the major technical aspects that add on to the investment can be API integrations, different modules like live chat, billing, inventory, use of location data, cross-channel functioning, UI/UX design elements like imagery, typography and alike.
One thing I’d like to mention here is that many a times clients get cheated by companies from companies with the surprise/hidden costs at the end of the project, which is a big screw-up. In this case, we are extremely transparent in our intentions. And if anytime, anything (some extra costs beyond estimation) comes in the middle of the process, we convey it to our clients upfront before moving further.
What payment structure do you follow to bill your clients? What is the price range (min and max) of the projects that you catered to in 2016?
Clearly, we break our payment terms on % basis over the course of the project. Instead of taking 100% at the end, we follow a pay per milestone approach that is decided by the mutual consent of our clients and our project managers. This approach has been very convenient for all our clients so far.
The minimum and maximum price ranges for last year projects were almost the same as we expect from our clients in the current year.
